This past weekend Richie and I went away for the weekend--and I must say it was so awesome! We saw a couple of shows and had some great meals. I was so happy to just get away, relax, and spend time together. It is about to get crazy and I know we will be glad we took the time to just get away and spend some quality time together!
But I must say I am exhausted and ready to have this baby. Everything on me hurts, I can't sleep and I get worn out before I ever get started.

35 Days and Counting

5 more weeks...only 5 more weeks. I can't wait! Landen's arrival is getting closer and closer!
Weston had his first fall ball season baseball game tonight and I was disappointed. Not because they lost, but because Weston just didn't seem to want to be there. His knee "hurt" and so he missed 2 innings....but I really think that it has a lot to do with moving up to a new league (kid pitch) and the unfamiliarity. He has to start at the bottom again and work his way up. And it's hard for him when he left the pitching machine league as pitcher/2nd base where all of the action was. Now, he's out in left field and he's bored and frustrated. I get that, but he's still got to give it his all in the outfield. He's got to earn a right to be infield and honestly his attitude seems to be that he doesn't want to be there. So I know why his coach has him where he's at. Hopefully he can put a little heart and soul in the game and work his way back infield.

Only 5 1/2 more weeks!

We are getting so close to Landen being here! Richie told me the other night that it seems like I have been pregnant forever and you know I have to agree! It seems like I am experiencing a 2nd round of morning sickness--I have heard of people having it late in pregnancy. It's not horrible like it was in the beginning, but it sure isn't fun either! I am also just miserable--back pain, cramping, you name it, it's playing havoc on my body! I am ready for this baby to get here! I still have to get a pregnant picture!
We got new couches this week and they look awesome in the living rooms! I think we did a great job on picking them out. The house is coming together now and it's starting to feel like home finally. There are still tons of boxes to unpack, but we are definitely making progress and I must say in my condition, we have accomplished quite a bit!

Happy Birthday Kylie!

Today is Kylie's 7th birthday! I can't believe my baby girl is already 7. I blinked and she's grown up! She is such the character too. She loves birthdays! In fact, she asked Richie tonight if he would make the "birthday girl" a bowl of ice cream--she sure knows how to work people! And to top it off--she lost her 2nd tooth tonight. She even pulled it herself! Overall though, I think she had a great birthday and a fun party last night. I made her two cakes--a beach ball and a flip flop cake.
We had my baby shower today too and we got such great gifts from everyone! We really appreciate all of the great baby stuff! I got some money as well, so I ordered my stroller/carseat combo--very important since we can't bring the little guy home without the carseat! We now have bottles, blankets, burp rags--you name it, the little guy has it!
Now all we need is Landen to get here!

Face of an Angel

How is it that I can help my husband upload pics of his deer to a hunting website, but I can't seem to figure out how to get my ultrasound video on my blog? Oh well!
We finally got to see little Landen's face.....he is such a cutie. A chubby cutie though! He already weighs 4 lbs 9 oz....that means he will be very close to 9 lbs at birth probably. Surprise, surprise!
We got a few cute pictures, but he did keep a hand in front of his face, so it was hard to get a great shot. On the ultrasound video, he even smiled! But he also stuck his tongue out too! What a boy!
Anyway, in case you are wondering who he looks like, he is a spitting image of his Dad. Yep, I once again have a kid that I can't claim by looks. No fair--I gain the weight, carry the kid around, and suffer for 9 months only to have the kid resemble Daddy to a tee!

Growing Tummy

Last night I measured my "waist" and was shocked! I am going to order one of those Belly Bandits for postpartum and it says to measure your waist during your 8th month to see what size you need. Well, I have a 41.5 inch waist right now! WOW! And I still have 7 more weeks to go! I hope I can remember to measure it the day of would be neat to see how big it was on the final day. I still need to take a pregnancy picture--and I really want to because I know I will want to look back and see how big I was.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Gosh--August is going to fly by with all that we have been doing. Yes, we are STILL moving (I honestly thought it would be over by now, but no!). Kylie has attended several birthday parties this month already since most of her little friends are all born in August. Oh yeah, and she has a party next weekend for her big 7th birthday! Plus, we are trying to organize our house, empty boxes, decorate, you name it, well it's going on! Landen's room is completely ready--that's the only room in the house that is completely done. My baby shower is this weekend at my new house--pray that we can make it look presentable in 6 days!
The only thing good about being so busy is that my pregnancy is flying by!
I am still working, but I think my days are numbered. I went to the doctor last week and he wanted to put me on bed rest, but I can't do it this early and take away time with Landen. So, I am trying to stick it out. He limited my territory that I cover which will help to keep me out of my car and driving long distances--that's when the swelling tends to hit me.
The kids have one full week of summer break left before school starts. Honestly I am not ready for school to start--homework, etc that consumes our evenings. They are already busy enough!
In two weeks, we have our yearly mini-retreat with my coworkers and I am so pumped! Why? Because it is going to double as my "babymoon"! I am ready for a little R&R and time to ourselves before Landen gets here. 'Cause then things are going to get REALLY hectic!
