Preparing for the Storm

Richie has been busy preparing for the storm and making sure we don't freeze! He has the emergency kit all set out on the counter ready to go.

However, he covered the most important part to me--he filled up the propane tank in the RV. If the power goes out for an extended period of time, we plan to move out to the RV where we will have full use of appliances, etc. That's so important to me with a little baby here. During the last major ice storm here (2000), Weston was about 7 months old and it was SO cold and I was very worried about keeping a small baby warm. Luckily, we were only out of power for 24 hours that time, but you never know what might happen, so I want to be extra prepared! Everyone, stay and safe and warm and be VERY careful if you have to get out and about tonight/tomorrow.
